Connection, innovation and growth were the themes of a successful 2025 Australian Travel Agents Co-Op (ATAC) conference .
Set at Adelaide Marriott in the heart of the city, Future Focus Adelaide – Hands on. Future. Thinking – featured partner networking expos, panel sessions, presentations and a moving charity announcement leaving attendees informed and invigorated.
But it wasn’t all business, there was time to play with a stunning welcome dinner at one of South Australia’s finest restaurants, the glitz and glamour of a gala dinner and Taste of Barossa Tour giving attendees a taste of fun and showcase of the state’s best.
Following Welcome Drinks on Thursday night, the conference officially launched on Friday morning with welcomes from ATAC Chairman Jack Taylor and Zoe Bettison, MP – Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs.
Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) Chief Executive Officer Dean Long shared insights into the state of the industry and encouraged attendees to make the most of their free resources including a fact sheet about Understanding the Role of Travel Agent.
Innovation expert Nils Vesk led a fascinating presentation on the ever-evolving role of AI and how to save time, stress less and sell more.
At dusk, guests ventured to the scenic Adelaide Hills for a spectacular Welcome Dinner, proudly sponsored by Air Tickets and Singapore Airlines, at the Gourmet Traveller award-nominated Ondeen and enjoyed the best South Australian produce and wines the region has to offer.
A moving announcement set the tone on Saturday with the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation announced as Travel Kind partner, Chief Executive Vi Do sharing how the charity works to improve the lives of children in Vietnam.
Afternoon panel sessions, featuring a range of ATAC members, were a highlight with topics including Future Skills and Roles in Travels, Smarts, Sales and Success: The Marketing Secrets of Award-Winning Agents and Multiply Your Margin: Why Groups are the Growth Gamechanger.
A touch of sparkle was the dress code for Saturday’s ATAC Gala Dinner- Southern Stars: A Night to Shine, sponsored by Expedia TAAP, as attendees toasted another successful conference full of learnings, camaraderie and community.
